About Six Sigma Steps
The company was founded under the name Nilux Consulting in March 2003 in the city of Reading, United Kingdom.

Our clients were at the start IT companies specialised in ICT Security seeking consultancy to help them achieve the growth levels expected by their executive boards. Within six months, it became clear that the clients, despite having approved of the consultancy recommendations, found it difficult to implement changes and innovative approaches that they strived for.

From 2003 to mid 2008, our clients called on us to address strategic and operational issues and deliver results throughout Europe. We adapted our services to combine consultancy and project management, helping them weave their way through de-mergers and mergers, acquisitions and strategic partnerships as well as increased competition in between medium sized companies and the very large system integrators, Telco's and service providers.

In 2007 we moved to Karlsruhe, Germany, from where we continued supporting our clients across Europe.

In mid 2008 the economic and financial crisis began spreading rapidly in Europe. Organisations started to find forecasting difficult and lacked financial resources. Many were at a loss as to a direction to take. Fear and panic spread. Nilux Consulting observed and extract patterns of failing and succeeding business models.

We took a deep dive into Six Sigma and developed a set of new services based on adapting business models that had been successful, promising new market approaches, business performance improvement techniques and leveraging global knowledge, skills, competencies, technologies and infrastructures. We also included a result-based shared risk/shared benefit component to our Value Propositions.

Clearly our clients needed to reduce and control business risk in order to make optimised decisions. They then saw that our skills were best used in the roles of Interim (European or German) Managing Directors.

In February 2010, we decided to reflect these changes by rebranding our services as Six Sigma Steps.

Our new logo is a colourful DNA model that is symbolic of life and structure, change and adaptability which serves as a common thread between our clients and us.

Six Sigma Steps is about joint-value creation with our clients and partners and helping you in turn create value with your customers.
